Political commentator Van Jones has spent much of his career working on matters relating to environmental activism, as well as with civil rights. He established the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights in 1996 and nonprofit organization Color of Change, the nation’s largest online racial justice group. One of the more surprising details of the former White House adviser’s life is his long-time marriage to a white woman named Jana Carter.
The legendary music producer has had a hand in countless humanitarian efforts in the span of his career. In the 1960’s, he helped support the efforts of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and orchestrated the famous charity song “We Are the World” nearly 20 years later. Jones loved music almost as much as he loved white women, marrying actresses Peggy Lipton, Jeri Caldwell and fashion model Ulla Jones.
