A grieving California father has called for the prosecution of Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf over her decision to warn the city’s undocumented immigrants of an impending raid by federal immigration agents earlier this month.
Jamiel Shaw is one of several “Angel parents,” or parents of children killed by undocumented immigrants, who are now demanding that the Schaff be charged. During an appearance on Fox & Friends Friday morning, Shaw called the mayor’s actions “disgusting” and blasted her for failing to protect U.S. citizens from “criminal” illegals.
“Her job is to protect the American citizens,” said Shaw, whose son was murdered by an illegal immigrant in 2008 as he walked home from football practice. “So for her to take a stand like that, she’s allowing Americans to be murdered … She has blood on her hands because she could’ve easily let them go into the jail system and capture those criminals.”
“For people to be murdered and raped and robbed and identity theft — that’s on her and people like her,” he added.
Shaw said he would like to see Schaff punished for “aiding and abetting” criminals, an action he said endangered the lives of citizens like himself. He also took aim at the Left for demonizing President Donald Trump’s tough stance on immigration, arguing that “when their kids are dead, then all of a sudden they’re shutting down the city and they want all these gun laws.”
“But they don’t care if illegal aliens carry guns and kill our kids,” he said.
