Chris Cuomo Can’t Believe Joe Arpaio Still Thinks Obama’s Birth Certificate Is a Fake

Former Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio is at again.

During an appearance on CNN’s “Cuomo Primetime” Wednesday, Jan. 10, Arpaio charged that former President Barack Obama’s birth certificate is a “phony document” and that he had the evidence to prove it.

“No doubt about it, we have the evidence,” he told host Chris Cuomo. “I’m not going to go into all the details, yeah, it’s a phony document … “We have the evidence, nobody will talk about it, nobody will look at it.”

“And anytime you want to come down, or anybody we’ll be glad to show you the evidence,” he added.

Arpaio, who announced Tuesday that he’s running for a seat in the Arizona U.S. Senate, has pushed birtherism in the past, much like his good friend — President Donald Trump. Trump pardoned the ex-Maricopa County sheriff last summer after he was convicted for violating a court order to stop racially profiling Latino Americans, CNN reported. He has also drawn the ire of human rights groups for his tough stance on immigration.

Trump has since renounced his past claims of Obama not being a natural-born U.S. citizen, but Arpaio isn’t letting it go.

“No doubt about it,” Arpaio said of the former president’s “fake” birth certificate.

Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii.
