Melanie Brown, once known as Scary Spice, has some frightening news when it comes to her soon-to-be ex-husband.

The court has ruled that Brown, also known as Mel B, must pay Stephen Belafonte $40,000 per month in temporary spousal support, according to documents obtained by People magazine Friday, July 14. Brown must pay the alimony retroactive to May 17, 2017 in addition to Belafonte’s $140,000 attorney’s fees and forensic fees.

When the “America’s Got Talent Judge” filed for divorce from her husband of a decade in March, one of her requests was to stop the court from granting Belafonte spousal support; she also wanted joint legal and physical custody of their 5-year-old daughter, Madison.

Their divorce has not been amicable.

The former Spice Girl hit Belafonte with a restraining order in April when she claimed in a filing obtained by E! Online that he had been physically and verbally abusive beginning in November 2007, which a source said Belafonte denied among his friends. Brown also claimed that her estranged husband impregnated the nanny of their children (Brown has two children with Eddie Murphy) and paid for an abortion using her money.
