After baring her curves at this year’s New York Fashion Week, “Orange Is the New Black” star Dascha Polanco talks about her struggles loving her body and coming to embrace her full figure.
In an Oct. 17 interview with NBC’s “TODAY,” Polanco says that she loves her thighs. During Fashion Week, she initially hid her body. But a few comforting words from her publicist inspired her to let go. The young actress encourages other women and young girls to be themselves.
“You and only you can make yourself be happy. You don’t have to look like anyone else out there … My confidence is who I am at the end of the day.”
