Officer Shelby’s Supporters to Clash with Rev. Sharpton at Competing Rallies in Tulsa

On Sept. 27, Tulsa, Oklahoma residents will come face-to-face in opposing protests in the aftermath of 40-year-old Terence Crutcher’s death.

Crutcher was shot by Tulsa Police Officer Betty Shelby after his SUV reportedly stalled on a north Tulsa road on Friday, Sept. 16.

Police encountered the motorist while en route to a domestic disturbance call.

Initial reports claimed Crutcher did not comply with officers’ requests. However, dashcam and aerial footage proved otherwise.

Crutcher held up his hands and was unarmed.

According to FOX 23, Law Enforcement and Supporters for Media Accountability will rally in front of the Tulsa County Courthouse.

Rev. Al Sharpton is scheduled to make an appearance as well.

The protests will take place from 1 to 5 p.m.
