Kentucky Councilman Bill Buckman had an angry reaction after Councilwoman Kecia Copeland requested reimbursement for work with the Kentucky Black Caucus.
His remarks were captured on video at a Bardstown city council meeting April 12. Buckman – who is white – told Copeland, a Black woman, that he refused to support the caucus because, “they’re a racist, biased group.”
In the end, the councilwoman’s request for reimbursement was approved.
