Pretty Little Liars season 5, episode 1: EscApe From New York premieres tonight on ABC Family.
Moments after where the season four finale left off, Aria and the Liars are reeling from Ezra’s shooting at the hands of “A.” The five girls quickly realize that as the one person who truly knows A’s identity, Ezra is in grave danger. While Aria stands watch over Ezra at the hospital, Alison and the PLLs lay a trap to finally flush out A but are shocked by who is ensnared. Meanwhile, Holbrook steps up his efforts to find the girls and puts the Hastings family on alert. And as news of Alison’s resurrection spreads, Mona is not pleased.

“The series revolves around the Mercedes-Benz, mega mansions, and perfectly manicured hedges in the exclusive town of Rosewood, Pennsylvania. Everyone has something to hide. Based on the book series of the same name, the series follows four estranged best friends Spencer, Hanna, Aria and Emily who are reunited after their best friend and queen bee of the group, Alison, goes missing, only to discover they are receiving messages from an anonymous “A” who knows all their secrets.
“No longer just wanting to sit by and wait for A’s latest cruel attack, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer take matters into their own hands and try to finally put a stop to their tormentor. As relationships are put to the test, new and old secrets are revealed and the stakes are raised higher than ever before as the Liars come closer to the truth. Will all of their sacrifices be worth it in the end?”
