“The Voice” season 5, episode 24: “Live Semi-Final Performances,” premieres tonight on NBC.

Last week, the top 5 artists were revealed after Matthew Schuler was sent home during the LIVE eliminations.

This week, the semi finals begin and the remaining five artists must give their best performances yet for America’s votes – and a spot in the finals. Will, Tessanne, James, Jacquie and Cole will put on the performance of their lives in a thrill-filled Voice showdown starting Monday.

The description of season 5 of “The Voice” reads:

“The show features four celebrity artists who will put together teams of singers who they’ll coach and mentor throughout the competition. Week by week, individuals will be eliminated until each celebrity has only one person on their team left to compete for the title of ‘The Voice of America,’ in a live finale.

Unlike ‘American Idols’ lengthy audition process, the celebrity mentors will select their team members via a blind audition, so they’ll only be able to hear their voices. The show will have three stages of competition – the blind audition, a battle phase, and the live performance shows. Viewers will take part in the show by casting votes to help determine the finalists, who are competing for the grand prize – a recording contract.”

The Voice” Season 5, Episode 24: “Live Semi-Final Performances,” airs Dec. 9, at 8  p.m. EST on NBC.  Check out the preview below:
