Art Basel is the premier winter meeting place for the international art world. Each year celebrities and art appreciators around the world flood the streets of Miami to view free public art displays, independent art fairs, museum and gallery exhibits and other satellite events.
Though some of Hollywood’s finest are just here for the parties, others have become serious collectors. The event ran from Dec. 5-8 and closed Sunday at the Miami Convention Center featuring paintings, sculptures, photographs and films from 258 art galleries in 31 countries.
