The New York Knicks‘ losses are piling up and now some of the team’s members are becoming very frustrated.
Owners of the Knicks, who are the NBA’s third-worst team (3-11), are hoping that an impromptu team meeting can help the team get over their slump.
After the team’s 93-80 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Nov. 27, the team held a meeting unlike the players-only meeting New York held in early November. The latest powwow included both the players and coaches, according to ESPN.
“The easiest thing for us to do is just to crumble right now,” Carmelo Anthony said. “We are in a dark place but we have to get out of this. Right now the game is not fun for nobody. We’re just not making it happen.”
Another player, Metta World Peace, said he acknowledged their struggles but he’s not quitting yet.
“We’re not struggling,” Peace said. “It’s part of life. You know how life is. We had a bad hair day, you know?”
Even with all the loses, the Knicks still may be in contention for a playoff sport come the end of the season. They’re currently three games back of the division-leading (6-8) Toronto Raptors.
