Pusha T is less than a week away from the release of his upcoming album “My Name Is My Name.” The album, that the Clipse rapper calls a return to “real rap,” is scheduled to be released October 8th, but fans can enjoy an early listen. Pusha T has made the album available to stream on Myspace. According to vibe.com:

“Pusha T is very excited about this week. With Oct. 8 — the official disc drop date for My Name Is My Name — drawing nearer, its only right that fans get a little taste of the project King Push is so proud of. MNIMN, which features Kelly Rowland, Chris Brown, Rick Ross, Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean, Pharrell and more, is streaming in its entirety on Myspace.”

Pusha T has already released singles “Nosetalgia” featuring Kendrick Lamar, “King Push,” and the current “Sweet Serenade featuring Chris Brown, but now fans can get a taste of the entire album before they buy it. It’s a smart strategy that artists have been using lately. Instead of waiting for their work to inevitably be leaked, artists are giving fans a free look at the album to create demand while controlling the process at the same time.
