According to a report, just a couple hours after working out for the Packers on Monday, Young inked a one-year deal with the organization.
Young will compete with backup quarterback Graham Harrell for the second spot behind one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks, Aaron Rodgers.
“Vince is ecstatic and is looking forward to the opportunity,” the source said. “He was hoping to participate in the team’s quarterback meeting today.”
Young, who is now 30-years-old, was the third overall pick in the 2006 NFL draft. The last time he has played was with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011. Last year, he was cut by the Buffalo Bills prior to the start of the season.
