‘Iyanla: Fix My Life’ Season 2, Episode 1: Fix My R&B Family

Season 2 of “Iyanla: Fix My Life” premiers tonight with Episode 1 “Fix My R&B Family” on OWN.

Tonight begins an all-new season of breakthroughs, as Iyanla Vanzant travels to Georgia to work with the family of R&B recording artist and reality star, Syleena Johnson, who asked for support in creating a healthier relationship with her mother, Brenda Thompson. Watch the emotional preview of her time with R&B recording artist and reality TV star, Syleena Johnson.

Syleena recalls how she felt in her youth when Brenda cursed at her and her sisters, often calling them names. Syleena says that pattern has continued into her adulthood. Watch as Iyanla helps an emotional Syleena realize why this behavior affects her so much.

After Brenda began struggling with alcohol again, Syleena invited her mom to live with her. However, since Brenda moved in, Syleena says she has cursed her daughter out on a daily basis—even in front of Syleena’s sons. After working with Iyanla Vanzant, Syleena is finally ready to talk to her mother face-to-face about their issues. Watch what happens when Syleena opens up, and finds out the one thing she wants to hear from Brenda.
