The Walking Dead returns to AMC this fall for season 4 of the zombie apocalypse series, and the cast and creators had no problem spilling secrets about the upcoming episodes at Comic-Con 2013 in San Diego.
Stars Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes), Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon), Steven Yeun (Glenn Rhee), Lauren Cohan (Maggie Green), Danai Gurira (Michonne), David Morrissey (The Governor), Scott Wilson (Hershel Greene), and Chad Coleman (Tyreese) all sat on the panel and were ready to divulge information to a room packed with zombie fans.
Before the cast started gushing, Scott M. Gimple, the new showrunner, revealed the premiere date and unveiled a four-minute, 27 second-trailer that offered a glimpse of the next season.
The new series will premiere in the U.S. on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 9 p.m, with the second half of the season returning in February.
“Things are going to be way crazier; it’s an escalation,” comics creator Robert Kirkman said of what to expect in the new season.
“It’s been crazy. We did the first episode, I wrote it and it blew my mind,” Gimple added.
Judging by what was shown in the season 4 trailer, Kirkman wasn’t exaggerating and fans are in for a real roller-coaster ride this fall.
