Shots Fired: Jerry Sandusky’s Son Changes Family Name

The son of former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky is hoping to legally change his last name after his father was found guilty of sexual child molester.

Matt Sandusky went to court on Tuesday to officially change his name forever. He filled out the papers for a name change for himself, his wife and four children.

Sandusky was going to testify in defense of his father, but later revealed that he had also been abused by him. In June 2012, Sandusky was convicted on 45 counts of sexual abuse and is currently serving a 30-to-60-year prison sentence.

He continues to maintain his innocence and is pursuing appeals.
