Greg Oden is attempting a comeback to the NBA. The former Portland Trail Blazer will sit down to discuss his future with officials from the Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento Kings and New Orleans Pelicans this week, according to sources.
The meeting with Dallas is scheduled for Monday. San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat have also shown major interest in the free-agent center. Heat president Pat Riley told reporters that he has already had a meeting with Oden.
Oden, who was No. 1 overall draft pick in 2007, has suffered several knee injuries and has not played in an NBA game in nearly four years. He had his third microfracture knee surgery in February 2012.
The former Ohio State player was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers ahead of Kevin Durant. He has suffered so many injuries for so long it may be difficult for him to get back in the game. Do you think Oden has what it takes to make a comeback?
