Until recently, Aaron Hernandez had successfully left a troubled early life behind him. After a drug-plagued college career that caused him to drop in the NFL Draft, he quietly turned into a big-contract star for the New England Patriots. Now it seems the team took a risk on the player that didn’t pan out.
Currently, the former star tight end is sitting in a jail after being charged with murder. Of course, this is America and “innocent until proven guilty” must be taken into account. But the damage is done and it seems as though Hernandez has already been judged.
After his arrest and charge, the Patriots realized they made a mistake drafting Hernandez and separated themselves from him.
