Building Stacks: Victor Cruz Signs Huge Contract with the New York Giants

Victor Cruz has signed a very lucrative contract extension with the New York Giants valued at millions of dollars.

According to a source, the salsa-dancing NFL star’s new deal is worth $46 million and guarantees him $15.625 million for the first two seasons. He will also get a $9.5 million signing bonus with another $1.5 million roster bonus which he will get on the first day of the 2014 season.

Cruz, who battled for a long period with the Giants’ organization over negotiations, expressed his delight with the new deal.

“It was fun to finally get it done with,” Cruz said. “I was smiling from ear to ear the whole time; I couldn’t stop grinning. Good to put my ink on that piece of paper and feel good about it and feel confident about it and get back to football.”

In a conference call with reporters, Victor Cruz was asked what will he focus on now that he has signed the new contract. The star answered, “Just more championships, man. Now, I can focus on football.”
