Aaron Hernandez has recently been investigated by police in Gainesville, Fla., for a shooting that occurred back in 2007 and authorities concluded that former NFL player was not a suspect in the incident, according to police.
Yesterday, ESPN reported that Massachusetts police wanted to learn more about the 2007 incident where two men were shot inside a vehicle. Both men survived.
“The description of the shooter was a black male. It was not even remotely close to Mr. Hernandez’s color or build,” Gainesville Officer Ben Tobias said. “We did a thorough investigation at that point, and it did not lead to him whatsoever.”
Hernandez is currently in a Massachusetts jail after pleading not guilty to first degree murder charges involving the death of his acquaintance Odin Lloyd, a 27-year-old semi-pro football player. Lloyd was found dead from gunshot wounds on June 17.
