Allen Iverson Accused of Kidnapping His 5 Children by Ex-Wife Tawanna

Allen Iverson has been slammed with accusations of kidnapping by his ex-wife, Tawanna Iverson, after he failed to return their five children to her after a short vacation.

The famous NBA star has been on a downward spiral as he has been dealing with serious financial woes and rumored to be struggling with alcohol abuse.

Well things just got even worse for the 38-year-old basketball player as his ex-wife, who has sole custody of their five children, is accusing him of kidnapping their children who range between the ages of three and 16.

According to Tawanna, Allen was allowed to take the children on a trip to Charlotte, N.C. back in May but the children still have not been returned to her.

She tried to arrange a date for them to meet up, but her ex-husband was a no-show.

Now she is taking matters into her own hands by taking the issue to the courts, who already aren’t very fond of the famous baller.

The good news is that she doesn’t feel like the children are in any danger, and she even has a theory on where they are.

Allen’s ex-wife believes her children are being held in a hotel room in Georgia and she is hopeful that they will be returned to her soon if the legal system gets involved.

The kidnapping comes just months after the couple finalized their divorce in February and after Allen allegedly skipped a $40,000 child support payment.

His past relationship with the courts suggests that they will certainly rush to get the children away from him and back into Tawanna’s custody.

During the couple’s divorce hearing the judge slammed the former Philadelphia 76er’s player as being a bad father who doesn’t even know how to manage his children.

“[Allen Iverson] does not know how to manage [his five] children,” the judge said during the hearing. “[He] has little interest in learning to mange the children and has actually, at times, been a hindrance to their spiritual and emotional growth and development.”

To make matters worse, even his own former teammates admit that he is in a bad place in his life.

“He has hit rock bottom, and he just hasn’t accepted it yet,” former 76ers player Roshown McLeod told the Huffington Post.

If the children are found in his custody and enough evidence is provided to prove that Tawanna honestly had no idea about her children’s whereabouts Allen could be facing some serious jail time.
