Scarlett Johansson has taken her Marvel’s character Black Widow skills to leverage another kick-ass female warrior role in Luc Besson’s action thriller Lucy.
The Avengers actress will star as the title role working from the Besson written script. She will play a young woman that is forced to become a drug mule, but somehow the drugs find its way into her system turning her into a powerful street fighter. Along with the ability to fight, she becomes desensitized to pain, acquires telepathic powers and can learn new things instantly.
Johansson is currently in her black knee-high boots shooting her Black Widow scenes in Los Angeles for the sequel, Captain America: Winter Soldier. The actress will go from Captain America right into production for Lucy.
Johansson’s upcoming on-screen appearances for this year include Joeseph Cordon-Levvitt’s Don Jon and the UK film Under The Skin.
