CBS’ ‘Golden Boy’ Episode 7: “McKenzie on Fire”

On tonight’s “McKenzie on Fire” episode of CBS’ TV show Golden Boy, McKenzie seeks justice for her family when bullets found at the scene of a subway shooting match the same gun that killed her brother several years earlier. Meanwhile, Owen has reservations about retiring in two years.

The new crime drama series is about the meteoric rise of an ambitious cop (Theo James) who becomes the youngest police commissioner in the history of New York City. The series explores the high personal and professional cost he pays to achieve it as he is mentored by his partner, an experienced veteran detective (Chi McBride).

Golden Boy stars Theo James, Chi McBride, Kevin Alejandro, Bonnie Somerville, Holt McCallany, and Stella Maeve. It was created by Nicholas Wootton, and is produced by Berlanti Television and Warner Bros. Television. CBS placed a series order in May 2012 and the series premiered on CBS nine months later on Tuesday, February 26, 2013.
