'Fifty Shades of Grey' Documents Leaked By Hacker Group Anonymous; Emma Watson Role Denied

The Fifty Shades of Grey’ movie may have just found its Ana Steele.

A group of online hackers known as Anonymous reportedly hacked into an internal server and leaked several documents belonging to the German studio . This reported breach of security has revealed some very sensitive information about Focus Features, the company that acquired the film adaptation of British author E. L. James’ famed erotic novels of the same name.

One of those documents supposedly suggests Emma Watson is attached as the female star, Anastatia Steele, the naive college student who engages in a steamy relationship with sexually sadistic billionaire Christian Grey.

Anonymous took credit for the deed on Twitter, which also included leaking documents that related to other upcoming Focus Features adaptations and employee emails. The hackers are the same group that previously leaked phone numbers and credit card information of celebrities including Beyoncé and Kanye West.

Although the studio has acknowledged that the above mentioned documents were stolen by hackers, they downplayed the contents of those documents saying they are out of date and widely accessible to many Constantin employees.

Since the Fifty Shades of Grey documents have been leaked, Universal Pictures (the studio making the film with Focus Features) told USA Today the report is not correct. “No one has been cast yet,” nor has any director been confirmed yet.

It has long been rumored that Watson is the frontrunner for the role of Ana, but the actor has denied any involvement, whatsoever, in the movie.

Fifty Shades of Grey  is being written by Kelly Marcel and produced by Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti (The Social Network).
