Sarah Jessica Parker made the role of Carrie Bradshaw on the HBO series Sex and the City, but she isn’t too fond of The CW’s prequel to the series, The Carrie Diaries.
In a recent interview with online magazine The Edit featured on the upscale shopping site Net-A-Porter.com Parker is quick to sing the Diaries star AnnaSophia Robb praises, who plays a younger Carrie. SJP said the young star was “lovely”, however, she’s “not sure” how she feels about the series.
“You know, I think it’s one of those tests of your generosity,” Parker said. “She (AnnaSophia) is a lovely girl and I want her to feel good, but it’s… odd.”
SJP also admitted in the online interview that after years of wearing high fashions for the role and in her personal life, including sky high stilettos, it has taken its toll on her feet over the years.
“I went to a foot doctor and he said, ‘Your foot does things it shouldn’t be able to do. That bone there… You’ve created that bone. It doesn’t belong there,’” she said. “The moral of the story is, the chickens are coming home to roost. It’s sad, because my feet took me all over the world, but eventually they were like, ‘You know what, we are actually tired, can you just stop — and don’t put cheap shoes on us.’”
