Mark Whalberg And Ted To Present At Oscars

Mark Whalberg and his Ted co-star, Ted, will be presenters at this years Academy Awards. The pair were the stars of the highest grossing R-rated comedy in history, released last summer. Oscar host Seth MacFarlane voices the bear and since he’ll already be there anyway, it makes the gig easy. As seen on Deadline.com, producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron even admit that “Ted used his pull with our host to get himself the booking.”

Whalberg is no stranger to the Academy Awards. He was nominated in 2006 for Best Supporting Role in The Departed. He was nominated again in 2010 as producer for Best Picture nominee The Fighter.

This will be Ted’s first appearance on the awards show. He revealed, “I’m excited to present an Oscar with Mark Wahlberg, I’m spending the next month learning to pronounce ‘Quvenzhané.’“

Additionally, Norah Jones will be singing the Oscar nominated Best Original song from Ted, “Everybody Needs A Best Friend.”

Seth MacFarlane really is all over this years Academy Awards show, hopefully the funny man can hold his own on the stage.
