Metta World Peace Prank Show in the Works

When Metta World Peace (born Ronald William Artest) isn’t making news by fighting fans, he’s elbowing his opponents in the head. So if there’s someone who is marketable for drama in the NBA, it has to be the Los Angeles Lakers basketball player.

According to sources, LMNO Productions, a CBS hidden camera series production company, has teamed with NBA player, Metta World Peace and his Artest Media Group to develop Metta World Pranks. The two companies will join to develop a new prank series where Artest will play jokes on professional athletes in hidden camera scenes.

Metta World Peace will get help from others to pull the pranks on athletes. The show’s producers plan to get a helping hand from family members, friends, boyfriends, girlfriends and fans.

“Pranking and practical jokes are part of the athletic culture, so it comes naturally to Metta,” said Eric Schotz, president and CEO of LMNO. “Metta has a great sense of humor and this show will be a natural vehicle for him to showcase a side of his personality we don’t get to see on the court.”
