'X-Men: Days of Future Past' Adds Familiar Faces

The  original X-Men cast members will reprise their roles in the sequel of the 2011 movie X-Men First Class?!  That’s big news!  According to director Bryan Singer,  X-Men stars Anna Paquin (Rogue), Shawn Ashmore (Iceman) and Ellen Page (Kitty Pryde) have all agreed to sign on for the next installment of the popular prequel series.

Singer excitingly tweeted the news yesterday and also gave a special thanks to the X-Men: the Last Stand director, Brett Ratner.

As the filming production begins for the movie, Singer tweeted “Very excited to welcome #annapaquin, @ellenpage & @shawnrashmore to #XMen #DaysofFuturePast-thank you @BrettRatner for letting them live!”

According to the storyline for Days of Future Past, the mutant heroes will encounter some of the iconic heroes from both the past and the present.  Evidently, Rogue, Iceman, and Kitty Pryde will be a few of those heroes.

The three will be rejoined with Hugh Jackman, who is returning as Wolverine, Ian McKellen reprising his role as Magneto, the leader of the Brotherhood, and Patrick Stewart as Professor X, the leader of the X-Men.  James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence and Michael Fassbender will also return as their X-Men First Class characters.

Expect X-Men: Days of Future Past to hit theaters on July 18, 2014.
