Looks like Mark Whalberg won’t be the only stud in the newest installation of the Transformers franchise. Jack Reynor was recently cast as Whalberg’s son in Transformers 4. Director Michael Bay made the casting announcement on his website, while also giving the young actor major props. He excitedly posted, “Jack Reynor, he is an Irish kid that came to America with 30 bucks in his pocket. Pretty ballsy. Seriously who does that? Anyway I spotted him in a great little Irish movieWhat Richard Did. This kid is the real deal.”
As seen on The Hollywood Reporter, there aren’t many details of the plot yet, but Bay has revealed it will take place four years after the war in Chicago. Additionally, Bay clarified the fourth installment is not a reboot, instead it will pick up where the third one left off. There is no news yet on who will play the female lead, but anyone following Megan Fox and Rosie Huntington-Whitley has some pretty gorgeous shoes to fill. Bay also hinted to fans that the fourth movie would start an entire new trilogy on it’s own.
Oye, three more Transformers? That’s a lot of robots in disguise and over the top Michael Bay action sequences.
