Brett Dalton Will Play Deadly Agent In ABC's Pilot S.H.I.E.L.D.

Brett Dalton is the latest actor to be cast in ABC’s highly anticipated pilot S.H.I.E.L.D as reported by TVLine.

The show is a spin off to the blockbuster hit, The Avengers, a group of extraordinary people with extraordinary skills are essembled to protect the world from global annihilation from alien invasions. The title acronym refers to the highly classified organization Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division.

Dalton will play Agent Grant, one of S.H.I.E.L.D’s most skilled agents. He is deadly, precise and cool under fire, but lacks basic people skills.

Fairly new to the game, Dalton past credits include guest staring roles on Army Wives and Blue Bloods.

Clark Gregg, the actor who starred in The Avengers as agent Phil Coulson, has already signed on to the project.

Joss Whedon wrote and directed the big screen hit and will do so for the pilot. If Wedon’s pilot makes the grade and ABC order it to series, Whedon will serve as executive producer alongside Jeffrey Bell and Jeph Loeb.

Being that Avengers was such a big success, grossing over $1.5 billion worldwide, I can’s see how ABC will turn it down.  Will you be watching?
