Anderson Live is ending and the ‘Silver Fox’ isn’t feeling any regret. Anderson Cooper’s show ‘Live’ is only in its second season but according to an insider at Warner Brothers studio, it will not be renewed for a third season. Anderson Live will be off air by summer 2013.
While very unlikely we thought it funny to think that the former “The View” co-host Star Jones was somewhere snickering to herself after news broke.
Earlier this month Jones accused Cooper, who “came out” weeks prior, of announcing his sexuality in hopes of boosting ratings for ‘Live’. What resulted was an awkward back and fourth as Cooper slammed Jones for her obvious ploy for publicity over her marriage and weight loss.
Jones countered on Twitter, “I was wrong. @andersoncooper didn’t come out as a ratings ploy. He used ME talking about him coming out @todayshow as a ratings ploy. #mybad”
As it turns out, according to the insider, “the entire talk television market has been struggling to build audiences.” Cooper also released a statement following the news,
“I am very proud of the work that our terrific staff has put into launching and sustaining our show for two seasons. I look forward to doing more great shows this season, and though I’m sorry we won’t be continuing, I have truly enjoyed it.”
