Bobbi Kristina Brown and her grandmother Cissy Houston have stopped their allegedly fighting to reach an agreement about Whitney Houston’s $20 million inheritance for her daughter.
According to Whitney’s will, Bobbi Kristina will receive three installments through the age of 30. $2 million when she turns 21, $4 million at 25 and the remaining lump sum of $16 million at 30 years old.
It was previously reported that Whitney’s manager and sister-in-law Pat Houston was working together with Cissy to file the papers to change Bobbi Kristina’s inheritance. Cissy was concerned her granddaughter could possibly travel down the same path as her mother Whitney who died tragically earlier this year at 48-years old. In addition, Cissy was no fan of her granddaughter’s love interest Nick Gordon who was once considered her god-brother.
It is unclear how the agreement was changed but according to TMZ, the Houstons have reached an agreement. And while Cissy doesn’t support Gordon and Brown’s relationship, aunt Pat Houston understands the need for it.
“It’s a journey,” Pat said to E! News. “You have to realize, she had just lost her mother and she’s 19 years old. So I didn’t take the engagement very serious, not at all, because I understood the dynamics of what’s happening as it relates to that relationship. He looks out for her, he really and truly does.”
