New Edition singer Bobby Brown was arrested yesterday in Los Angeles at the intersection of Corbin Avenue and Ventura Boulevard in Los Angeles for reportedly driving under the influence.
According LAPD sources, Whitney Houston’s ex-husband was driving erratically, and when stopped, officers smelled alcohol on his breath. According to an ABC affiliate Brown was arrested after refusing to take a field sobriety test – other sources claims he failed the test.
This was the second arrest for Brown following his March DUI arrest. The arrest came just weeks after his ex-wife Whitney Houston died from heart disease and cocaine use.
Brown who went on to marry Alicia Etheridge in mid-June in Hawaii returned to rehab in LA to fulfill the requirements of his initial DUI arrest in March. He would only stay for three weeks opting not to see the 90-day program through. Naturally, Brown’s family was concerned with one source stating, “They’re not sure if he was ever serious about conquering his demons and have voiced their concerns. It’s difficult to believe someone going into rehab for alcohol addiction for such a short time is genuine about giving up drinking.”
This latest arrest will surely spark more concern amongst his family.
