TMZ got its hands on the videotape of Lindsay Lohan’s alleged hit-and-run at a New York City club early yesterday morning and, while it’s not exactly clear whether Lohan made contact with the man’s leg, the tape shows that Lohan was creeping along to avoid hitting pedestrians.
This was no out-of-control driver ramming into a pedestrian and then leaving the scene. Rather, it was a common scene that is repeated probably a million times a day in New York City—a driver patiently waiting for a pedestrian to move from in front of the car so that the driver can continue on. It just so happened that the driver in this case was notorious Hollywood bad girl Lohan, who has zero credibility right now.
The tape shows Lohan driving down a ramp into the hotel at a rate that could be described as a crawl while a man crosses a pedestrian path in front of her car. Lohan’s Porsche Cayenne gets very close to the man, but it’s unclear if she made contact with him. In fact, the two detectives who viewed the tape disagreed about whether her car made any contact with the man and it’s easy to see why.
Once Lohan goes down the ramp, the video shows the man “sprinting” after her. This is a man who supposedly just got hit by her car.
Lohan has vehemently proclaimed that she did nothing wrong—and she got some loving support from guitarist slash.
Slash tweeted: “The situation last night w/Lindsey was a lame paparazzi stunt. She didn’t do anything. it’s being blown out of proportion.”
Lohan was backstage with Slash just before she got in her Porsche Cayenne and drove to the nightclub at the Dream hotel. Slash didn’t see the incident, but he would be able to judge whether Lohan reeked of alcohol, as the pedestrian who was “hit,” a Manhattan cook named Jose Rodriguez, told the Daily News.
