‘Kick-Ass 2’: Donald Faison in Talks to Join Matthew Vaughn’s Sequel

actor Donald Faison looks set to join the cast of Kick-Ass 2, the sequel to the 2009 comic book movie from director Matthew Vaughn, is gearing up to start production next month. All of the principals are signed on with Aaron Johnson, Chloe Moretz, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse returning as Kick-Ass, Hit Girl and Red Mist, respectively, and Nicolas Cage set to come back in a smaller capacity as Damon Macready/Big Daddy. Director Jeff Wadlow has already added John Leguizamo as one of the baddies, specifically Red Mist’s personal bodyguard, but today we have news that the heroes’ side may be getting a new member.

THR reports that Donald Faison is now in talks for a part in Kick-Ass 2: Balls To The Wall. Should he end up signing on the dotted line, he will be playing a character known to most as Dr. Gravity, a fake superhero, much like Kick-Ass, who begins a vigilante group called Justice Forever (funny that this news should come right on the heels of Warner Bros.’ big Justice League news). The character is a copy writer by day, but pretends to be a physics professor at Columbia University…
