In the wake of the upcoming movie Sparkle, the studio has released a new trailer.
While most of the other Sparkle trailers has featured mostly late Whitney Houston, this new one shows the whole cast. First off, this trailer pushes Cee Lo Green into the light as he sings his heart out in a scene on stage. While the artist exercises his vocals, different scenes from the movie is being featured. In the features is where a person can see all the other stars including Houston. The trailer could almost be mistaking for a music video, as Green perform the smash tune “I’m A Man,” as the scenes from the movie zip past.
Sparkle is an upcoming American musical film directed by Salim Akil and produced by Stage 6 Films. Inspired by The Supremes, Sparkle is a remake of the 1976 film of the same name, which centered on three singing teenage sisters from Harlem who form a girl group in the late 1950s. The remake takes place in Detroit, Michigan in the 1960s during the Motown era. The film stars Jordin Sparks, Derek Luke, Whitney Houston, Mike Epps, Cee Lo Green, Carmen Ejogo, Tika Sumpter, Tamela Mann and Omari Hardwick.
Sparkle is set for release on August 17, by TriStar Pictures.
