The Dark Knight Rises won’t hit theaters until July 20 but attendees of an early screening have taken to social media to rave about the film. Around 50 people attended the screening and they were told to refrain from publishing reviews until the day before the film was released nationwide. Despite this, the viewers took to their Facebook pages, Twitter accounts and other places on the web to praise the film.
“I think Bale gives his best performance as Batman and as Bruce Wayne in this one,” said “Scoop” in a forum for the “SuperHero Hype” blog. “He was terrific. And I especially loved his bat voice this time around.”
Another moviegoer decided to tweet her excitement. “The Dark Knight Rises has just finished screening for the press and critics, receiving a STANDING OVATION!!!” tweeted Lauren Hiestand, a YouTube blogger.
Vince Peluso believes the film might stir some drama outside of the theater but “everything in the film fit the overall scheme of this installment and the series in general, and [Christopher] Nolan really couldn’t have made it any more epic.”
Today, Warner Brothers released a 13-minute long behind-the-scenes featurette for the movie which included interviews from the cast and clips from the movie.
