Angela Bassett has joined the cast of Olympus Has Fallen
The Nu Image/Millennium’s White House thriller already have Gerard Butler and Aaron Eckhart starring in it. Butler is slated to play a Secret Service agent trying to stop Korean terrorists who have taken over the White House with plans to detonate a nuclear bomb. On the other hand, Eckhart will play the president.
The commander-in-chief and a few prominent members of his administration will be taken hostage, and Bulter’s Secret Service agent character will try to stop the plot.
In Olympus Has Fallen, the Waiting To Exhale star will play the Secret Service director.
Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt wrote the script and Antoine Fuqua is directing the film. The project will be produced by Mark Gill, Alan Siegel and Butler. The Millennium Films will be executive produced by Avi Lerner and Trevor Short.
Olympus Has Fallen begins shooting the beginning of July.
