Liam Neeson is back with his particular set of skills to fight off bad guys and look good while doing it. 20th Century Fox has begun their campaign for the film by mailing out Fathers Day cards with a picture of Liam Neeson and a caption that reads: “I will look for you.” Inside, the message continues: “and I will wish you a Happy Father’s Day.” Now, Fox has just released the first poster for the film.
This time Bryan Mills will spend his time in Istanbul. When the father of one of the Albanian kidnappers learns of his family’s whereabouts, he swears revenge on them. Mills must go back to work to protect his family while Albanian goons stop at nothing to kill his family and him.
The plot has changed so why didn’t the title change, too? In the first movie his daughter was taken; now that he has her back, the title Taken 2 makes little sense. Presumably, though, fans don’t really care what it’s called, they just want to see Neeson kick some serious Albanian butt.
Maggie Grace, Famke Janssen, Rade Serbedzija and Leland Orser will reprise their roles in the film. Oliver Megaton will be at the helm with screenplay by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen.
Taken 2 is set to hit theaters October 5th of this year.
