Disney-Pixar has released a new featurette for their upcoming fantasy-adventure flick Brave. The extended clip delivers a closer look into the storyline, characters, and cast, without giving away too much of the story.
The lengthy video includes commentary from actresses Kelly MacDonald and Emma Thompson, director Mark Andrews, producer Katherine Sarafian, composer Patrick Doyle, and others. New clips from the film are shown along with footage filmed during the team’s research trip to Scotland.
Brave is set in the mystical Scottish Highlands, where Merida is the princess of a kingdom ruled by King Fergus (Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (Emma Thompson). A rebellious daughter and accomplished archer, Merida (Kelly Macdonald) accidentally brings turmoil to the kingdom when she defies a sacred custom. In an attempt to set things right, Merida seeks out an eccentric old Wise Woman (Julie Walters) and is granted an ill-fated wish.
Mark Andrews directed the Disney animated film. Other voices featured in the movie include Kevin McKidd, Craig Ferguson and Robbie Coltrane. Brave hits U.S. theaters this summer on June 22nd.
