Sony Pictures has released an extended 4 minute preview for the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man. This time around, the story goes deeper into Peter Parker’s life and the way he became an orphan.
The film uses narration taken from the Ultimate Spider-Man comic book, with the backstory of Oscorp being owned by its classic villain Norman Osborn. The movie also shows how the Oscorp company has direct ties to Parker’s parents and Osborn’s past.
Following the mega hit The Avengers, The Amazing Spider-Man has a lot of criticism to overcome. Mainly, the negative opinions that this re-boot is too soon and unnecessary, and also the bad taste left with die-hard fans with the conclusion of Toby Maguire’s Spider-Man.
After recent promotion and trailers, the film seems to impress some skeptics, while again sparking interest of die-hard Spiderman fanatics. Directed by Marc Webb and starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, Martin Sheen and Sally Field, The Amazing Spider-Man will be shown in 3D,2D and IMAX 3D theaters starting July 3.
