Serena Williams On the Cover of Vogue’s June Issue

Serena Williams is flanking super hottie Ryan Lochte, a six-time Olympic medalist swimmer, on the cover of Vogue’s June issue. The summer issue is a silent nod to Baywatch and to the three Olympic hopefuls including Hope Solo for the 2012 London Olympics.

“Team USA” is mid-page as the trio are arm-and-arm as if running on the beach in the Annie Leibovitz shot. Lochte bares his ripped Hulk-like chest while wearing gold and navy swim trunks.

Both Williams and Lochte’s “fashion bible” appearance is noteworthy as Williams follows in the footsteps of only a handful of exceptional blacks, including First Lady Michelle Obama, Beyonce and media mogul Oprah Winfrey, to canvas Vogue and Ryan is the fourth man ever to land the(coveted) cover spot.

Wimbledon winner Williams’ curves are subdued in a one-piece ruched retro swimsuit with thin double straps, but still stunning as her cocoa skin sets off the golden pin-up doll look. Understated makeup with a hint of peach-stained lips slightly picking up brown undertones in her hair was the right direction for the overall look—nice!

They all look ready to serve it up for the Olympics! In her latest match, Williams served 14 aces and won against top-ranked Victoria Azarenka, 6-1, 6-3 to for the Madrid Open title.
