A new trailer of Ridley Scott’s Prometheus was released over the weekend, revealing more information than the previous one. In the past, questions lingered of whether Prometheus is the prequel to Alien, but after watching this trailer fans may come closer to getting their answers.
Be warned that the new trailer reveals a lot of possibly big plot points and explains many parts of the movie’s exposition. Considering the massive marketing campaign, is it really necessary to watch another trailer to determine whether or not to see the movie? If so, Enjoy!
There have been some arguments as to whether the film should receive a PG-13 or R rating. Scott has been pushing for a PG-13 rating, which would allow the film to make as much money as possible – by allowing a larger audience base.
Of course, even if the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) gives Prometheus a R-rating, the film won’t be changed. “I can assure the fans — I’m very aware of their concern — absolutely they can take it that the film will not be compromised either way,” Scott said.
The film’s star-studded cast includes Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green and Charlize Theron.
Prometheus hits theaters June 8, 2012.
