The Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin celebrated her 70th birthday this past weekend with a lavish party. The birthday celebration, a sit-down dinner, took place at Hemsley Park Lane hotel in New York City. Guest included Clive Davis, Diane Sawyer, Rev. Al Sharpton, and her longtime love Willie Wilkerson.
Music mogul Clive Davis sat near Aretha for much of the evening and they discussed her new music.
According to Yahoo News, Aretha confirmed she will be recording with Davis again.
“I have re-signed with Clive Davis, so I’m recording with Clive again.”
Franklin added, “we’re going to sit together and decide what it is we’re going to record.”
