A new photo of Spider Man’s arch nemesis hit the web today. Columbia Pictures has yet to release an official image of The Lizard, whose is played by Rhys Ifans in the franchise’s reboot The Amazing Spider Man. Trends International posted the new promo image of their concept of the scaly reptile.
In The Amazing Spider Man, Parker is like any other teenager trying to understand who he is and how he became that person in the world today. Parker has also built a relationship with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy, and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. When the character uncovers the mystery behind his parents’ disappearance, all clues lead him to Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors. As a former partner of Parker’s father, Connors is the only person who knows the truth about what happened to Parker’s patriarch. Unwilling to hand that information over, Connors unleashes his alter ego The Lizard to bring about the same fate to Parker as his father.
Hitting 3D, 2D and IMAX 3D theaters on July 3, the action adventure also stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Campbell Scott, Denis Leary, Irrfan Khan, Martin Sheen and Sally Field.
