Leah Remini is going back to where it began for her, comedy.
Remini has joined the cast of ABC’s comedy pilot White Van Man. This single camera comedy revolves around a man who is forced to put his dreams on hold in order to take over the family handyman business from his father.
The former talk show host will play the only female role Terry, Tony’s sister. While Tony still wants to run the business despite his bad ticker, Terry takes charge with keeping him in line when he tries to sneak out to go to work again. This casting stems from an all round talent deal with ABC.
Michael Fresco in on board to direct the pilot. Bobby Bowman will write the script and executive produce along with Mark Gordon, Paul Buccier and Andrea Shay.
This marks Remini’s first return to comedy since her role as Carrie in the mega successful CBS comedy King Of Queens.
