Cuba Gooding Jr. Gets Role In Fox's New Drama 'Guilty'

Cuba Gooding Jr. has booked the lead role in Fox’s new legal pilot Guilty.

Guilty centers around William “Billy” Remz (Gooding), an ethically challenged defense attorney who is stripped of his license for a conviction of a crime he didn’t commit. Thereafter, he uses the skills he learned while practicing to solve old cases that he’s been banned from, while attempting to catch the people who set him up.

If the show makes it into syndication, this will be the former Oscar winner’s first recurring job on a television series.

The pilot will also star Eva Amurri Martino, whose character will play an attorney who works with Billy. Julian Morris is also signed on to play in the show. Peter Johnson, along with Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim, will executive produce and McG is signed on to direct. Berlanti is also the writer.

Gooding has most recently been seen in the movie Red Tails, which hit the big screen earlier this year.
