Jai Courtney has been selected to play Jack McClane, the son of John McClane (Bruce Willis’ Character), in the fifth Die Hard film, A Good Day to Die Hard.
A Good Day to Die Hard takes place in Moscow, where John McClane is reunited with his estranged son Jack. According to a press release by Fox, “Jack may even be more of a hardass than his father. Despite their differences, they must work together to keep each other alive – and the world safe for democracy.”
Courtney is known for playing Varro in the Spartacus: Blood And Sand series. The actor was also most recently seen starring opposite Tom Cruise in the movie One Shot, the adaptation of the Lee Child bestseller.
The previous Die Hard movie, Live Free or Die Hard, was released in 2007 and grossed $135 million domestic and $383 million worldwide.
Production of A Good Day to Die Hard begins in April of this year and the film will hit theaters February 14, 2013.
