Sacha Baron Cohen Wants To Prank The Oscars As 'The Dictator'

Sacha Baron Cohen wants to show up at The Oscars this year as General Aladeen, his role from his upcoming movie The Dictator.

The actor reached out to Paramount about attending the prestigious ceremony as the sex-crazed dictator, but the studio nor the Academy responded to Cohen’s shenanigans.

This isn’t the first time the movie star attempted to prank the Oscars. In 2010, Cohen devised a sketch which was suppose to feature Borat dressed as an Avatar while carrying director James Cameron’s love-child, but it obviously didn’t make the cut.

Cohen’s general Aladeen character from the movie The Dictator already pulled a stunt during this year’s Super Bowl, when he told fans that he purchased NBC.

Paramount and The Academy might not take to Cohen’s new prank especially if it takes attention away from actors and other studios.

Besides the planned Oscars awards sketch, Cohen’s has another prank scheduled to promote The Dictator which airs this Sunday.

The Dictator is set to hit theaters May 11.
