UPDATE-Bobbi Kristina Brown attended the wake for the mother this evening joined by her grandmother and others. (See pictures below).
Bobbi Kristina will reportedly live with her grandmother Cissy Houston after the tragic and untimely death of her mother Whitney Houston.
Bobby Brown has reportedly caused a rift between the family when they accused him of using his daughter Bobbi Kristina to get close to Houston’s wealth. Brown released a statement early on stating Kristina was leaving with him and her siblings. It wasn’t long however before reports surfaced that Bobby was not invited to Whitney’s funeral. As of today, Bobby is expected to attend.
As many mourn and share their concerns for the well-being of Kristina who’s suffered an emotional meltdown after two hospitalizations, a source told Hollywood Life, Whitney’s daughter will live with Cissy.
“Bobbi Kristina is staying with her grandma Cissy Houston in Newark, New Jersey, indefinitely. Cissy wants to make sure Bobbi Kristina doesn’t relapse into alcohol and drugs.”
“Cissy doesn’t think Bobby can provide Bobbi Kristina with a stable lifestyle. And Bobby’s bizarre behavior last night [Feb. 16] at his concert is yet another example of his inconsistencies. Bobby has repeatedly told friends that he won’t leave Bobbi Kristina’s side and will find her the best care available, but Cissy knows the number one person in Bobby Brown’s life is Bobby Brown and it will always be that way.”
Bobbi Kristina and Whitney lived in Atlanta which explains why Cissy went through the trouble of inviting her granddaughter’s friends for a long stay.
“Cissy has invited two of Bobbi Kristina’s girlfriends from Atlanta to come to Newark this weekend to attend the funeral. Cissy has asked the girls to stay with at her home as long as possible to support Bobbi Kristina, especially this Saturday at the services. Cissy wants Bobbi Kristina to be surrounded with as much support and love as possible. Cissy is determined to keep out all of the riff raff in Bobbi Kristina’s life!”
The support of friends and family will certainly help Bobbi Kristina cope as it’s widely believed that she may suffer another breakdown at the funeral.
Pictures, some blurry were released of Bobbi Kristina and her grandmother Cissy Houston attending the wake of Whitney at the Whigham Funeral Home in Newark at around 5 pm. ET. Clive Davis and Dionne Warwick was also in attendance.
The family arrived in a gold limousine and Cissy and Bobbi Kristina held hands as they walked in together.
